Tall slender frame. FB 84-86, touched 88. Good feel for 11-5 CB 73, mixed in 75 CH. Worked quick, threw strikes, changed speeds. Usable 3 pitch mix. Coordinated delivery. Pitches tall, yet to tap into leverage in body fully.

Excellent range, good footspeed, enough arm, soft hands. Worked counts at plate, on base type, battler in at bats. Baseball player type.

FB 85-86, touched 88. Breaking ball between 73 and 77, may have been both CB and SL, 2 plan action with tight spin. Balanced delivery, arm worked well out front through release.

Large, solid build. Strong LH swing, aggressive with lift and full finish. Raw power evident. Listed as switch hitter, only saw LH. Solid receiver, evidence of arm strength.

FB 88-92. Arm worked free and easy, ball jumped from hand. Created good tilt when stayed on time with delivery. Breaking ball 75-77 with tight 11-5 action.

Athletic lean frame. Rhythm to hit. Loose, easy fluid LH stroke with great balance and hand-eye coorination.

LHH hits from open stance, closes front side well. Good feel for barrel, barrel accuracy and overall hitting approach.

FB 85-87. Worked both sides of plate, command of FB. CB 68-71 thrown for strikes, had rolling action. Repeated delivery, worked quick, strike thrower. Held runners well, quick to plate.

Catch and throw guy with strong arm, quick transfer, 1.9-2.0 between innings and in game.

Jason Reffitt - RHP / R-R / 6-1-195 / 2011 / East Ridge HS / Clermont, FL -- committed to Polk State College
FB 84-87. Arm had good life out front, mostly balanced delivery. Makings of tight biting SL. Probably not his best outing today, though arm strength and ability to spin breaking ball were evident.

FB 83-86, touched 87 with arm side run and sink. SL 76 had depth to 2 plane break. Arm worked better later in outing when landing and front side of delivery more consistent. Bat breaking FB and tight SL impressive combination.

Tim Holmes - RHP / R-R / 6-1-190 / 2012 / Wolfson HS / Jacksonville, FL
FB 84-86 with occ arm side life. CB had depth to 11-5 action, CH 70 thrown with FB arm speed. Arm speed and extension out front along with tight CB spin allow for projection of future velocity jump.

Colyn O'Connell - RHP / R-R / 6-5-190 / 2012 / Dunedin (FL) HS
FB 87-89 with down plane. Near OT arm slot. Saw a few downer CB with some tilt at 73, threw almost all FB this outing. Arm had quickness and life out front, balanced delivery. Tall slender build.

Tomas Nido - C / R-R / 6-0-195 / 2012 / Orangewood Christian HS / Oviedo, FL
Loose, quick RH swing. Solid receiving skills behind plate, quick release and arm strength make for advanced catch and throw skills.

Jorge Pantoja - RHP / R-R / 6-4-190 / 2012 / Osceola HS / Kissimmee, FL
FB 83-86 with arm side run, touched 88. Arm worked loose and easy, low effort with some whip. CB 72 with solid spin, had depth when got out front. Finish little upright. Long slender frame.

Long, lean, athletic frame. Fluid easy LH swing, balanced approach with good hand-eye coordination. Never able to get good look defensively.

Patient hitter with good strike zone knowledge. Balanced and on time launch. Solid build, good runner.

Arm strength guy, FB 86-88 from 3/4 angle. Raw on mound, room to lengthen arm action and use lower half much more in delivery.

Rob Whalen - RHP / R-R / 6-1-185 / 2012 / Ridge Community HS / Davenport, FL
FB up to 92. Came in with runners on, pitched 88-89 and touched 91 from stretch. From windup pitched 90-92. Lightning quick arm, worked well back and thru. Quick tempo, athletic delivery. Downer CB 75 best secondary pitch. SL 76 and CH 76 thrown out of lower slot and with less than FB arm speed. Pitched night prior as well, reports of 88-92 in that outing as well.

Miami Firebirds (Team #5)

Manny Pasos - C / R-R / 5-10-175 / 2013 / Pace / Miami, FL
Quick twitch actions behind plate, arm strength and catch and throw skills. Good feel for position and game. Solid RH approach when stride closed from open stance, good hands and loose swing.

Mizuno Edge (Team #12)

Lewis Brinson - CF / R-R / 6-4-180 / 2012 / Coral Springs HS / Tamerac, FL
Long, lean frame, high waisted and slender. Simple and easy swing with quick hands. In second game of day he hit two grand slams to LF in consecutive at bats (correction from previous report of one grand slam and one 3-run HR).

John Silviano - C / L-R / 5-10-180 / 2012 / Summit Christian HS / Hypoluxo, FL
Solid build. Strong arm, quick transfer. 1.92 release time in game, consistent sub 2.0 between innings. Strong catch and throw guy with solid LH bat.

Julian Johnson - DH-OF / R-R / 6-2-225 / 2012 / Edgewater HS / Orlando, FL
Big, strong presence. Opposite field power evident on ground rule double to RF. Later in game stayed on SL for sharp single to RCF, quiet load and soft front side.

Andrew Ornes - RHP / 2011 / East Ridge HS (committed to West Virginia Wesleyan)
FB 83-85, attacked zone. CB 65-67. SL 72-74. Good mix and command of 3 pitches, has some feel to pitch. Loose arm.

Tanner Stanley - LHP / L-L / 5-11-170 / 2012 / Lake Highland Prep / Maitland, FL
Pitchability LHP with solid 3 pitch mix. Strike thrower with FB 77-79, CB and CH. Commanded FB, started bats, used secondary stuff to keep hitters off balance. Balanced, repeatable delivery. Great feel for pitching.

Forrest Wall - SS / L-R / 6-0-160 / 2014 / Orangewood Christian HS / Winter Park, FL
Athletic lean build with high waist. Easy fluid infield actions, evidence of arm strength on DP turn. Solid run stride. Battled well in AB, need to see more with bat.

FB 84-86. CB 73 with tight 11-5 action. Strike thrower, attacked zone. Balanced delivery, arm worked well out front with quickness. Long, lean frame.

Showed range, especially to glove side, solid arm strength. Evidence of footspeed in 4.41 down the line from right side.

Strong arm, smooth actions, strong DP turns. Showed bat speed. Overall, very advanced young player.

Athletic, solid build. Quick strong hands, barrel to zone direct and with life even without much pre pitch rhythm. 4.4 down the line. Corner OF type defender.

Athletic lean build. Short, quick stroke. Loose move through zone. Clutch sharp LD single late in game Monday. Throws had on line carry with little effort, solid receiving and overall defensive skills behind plate.

FB 88-91. OT slot, FB had down plane. Saw only portion of outing, did not see secondary pitches.

Solid strong build. Well rounded, two-way prospect. Played 3B today. Showed shorter path to contact, loose and live move through zone. Power to oppo gap. Good body control defensively. Hands solid, kept feet underneath him. Compact, quick arm stroke with ability to carry throws easily across infield.

FB 84-85, touched 87. Some arm side life. Some CB had depth to 11-5 break, in 71-73 range. Strike thrower with FB, started bats and mixed in breaking ball.

Quick hands, loose RH swing. Surprising pop in bat, drove thru pull gap multiple times. Good setup and load. Baseball player type, versatile and capable infielder.

Long limbs, large frame with room to fill out. Feet and hands work well defensively, haven't seen him cut it loose but so far has shown enough arm for 3B. Balanced RH approach with loose swing. Power potential evident.

Big solid frame, long arms. FB 85-86, touched 88. More velocity to to come. Pitched from 3/4 slot. CB 63-66, sweeping action when he finished it.

FB mostly 84 with excellent arm side life, saw a brief stretch at 87-88. Pounded zone with FB, went right after RHH especially. Showed LHH sweeping CB 73.

Lean, athletic build. Short, compact RH stroke with easy bat speed and great extension. Hand-eye coordination evident in consistent solid contact over last two days.

Large frame, long legs, durable build. FB 85-87, top 88 with arm side run and sink. SL up to 74, had depth when slot stayed same as FB. CH 69. Around plate FB + CB.

Nick Travieso - RHP / R-R / 6-3-210 / 2012 / Archbishop McCarthy HS / Pembroke Pines, FL
Solid strong bulid. FB 88-90, topped at 93 in short outing, mostly (or perhaps all?) from stretch. SL 79 thrown with FB arm speed, only saw a handful. Quick tempo athletic delivery. Clean arm action with power out front.

Michael Emigh - LHP / L-L / 6-0-160 / 2012 / Flanagan HS / Pembroke Pines, FL
Medium frame LHP with quality 3 pitch mix and feel for pitching. FB up to 83. CH 73 thrown with FB arm speed and delivery, had excellent tail and sink at times. CB 71 solid spin. Simple, balanced delivery. Arm worked free and clean.

Balanced RH approach with opposite field gap power. Good instincts on bases. Athletic and agile at 1B.

Slender lean frame. Excellent pre pitch rhythm to launch, hands move to ball easy and fluid. Short line drive stroke with surprising power to oppo gap.

Free and full arm stroke out front. FB up to 80 now, projects for more in future. CB 67 with rolling 2-8 break. Strike thrower with FB and CB.
